About the programme
Hydropower Engineering is an engineering field concerned with the utilization of water resources for electricity generation, as well as the design, construction, operation, maintenance and modernization of hydropower plants and related hydraulic infrastructure. The field covers the study of hydropower plants, dams, reservoirs, diversion channels, hydraulic turbines, generators and other hydropower equipment and facilities. Particular attention is given to assessing the energy potential of water resources, improving the efficiency of hydropower generation, ensuring the reliability and safety of hydraulic structures, and applying modern automation, digital monitoring and control technologies.
